JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Support company's R&D functions by studying transdermal formulations to develop new drug delivery products and improve existing products.
Conduct formulation development for transdermal patch products from bench top to production of small scale cGMP batches for human clinical studies. Perform analytical, physical and biological studies to determine properties, kinetics and dynamics of formulations and pharmaceuticals. Support clinical and regulatory affairs efforts, and the preparation of technology transfer documentation utilizing SOPs and FDA guidelines. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Pharm.D., or M.S. or Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or related field.
- A minimum of three years of pharmaceutical industry formulation development experience with specific knowledge and capability in the area of transdermal patch drug delivery systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to make presentations to director-level management.
