JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Support company's R&D functions by studying transdermal formulations to develop new drug delivery products and improve existing products.
- Conduct formulation development for transdermal patch products from bench top to production of small scale cGMP batches for human clinical studies.
- Perform analytical, physical and biological studies to determine properties, kinetics and dynamics of formulations and pharmaceuticals.
- Support clinical and regulatory affairs efforts, and the preparation of technology transfer documentation utilizing SOPs and FDA guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Pharm.D., or M.S. or Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or related field.
- A minimum of three years of pharmaceutical industry formulation development experience with specific knowledge and capability in the area of transdermal patch drug delivery systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to make presentations to director-level management.
