Liberty Resources, a diverse human service agency, is seeking a Senior Residence Counselor. Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Senior Residence Counselor assists the Program Supervisor in the day-to-day operation of the IRA and shares the on-call beeper responsibility. The Senior Residence Counselor assists residents in the IRA by providing instruction and attendant care to the residents with activities of daily living including; feeding, personal hygiene dressing, and housekeeping. The Senior Habilitation Specialist assures high standards of client care and provides a positive role model for the residents.

Qualifications:
Bachelors/Associates and two (2) years experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to use personal car for transporting consumers. Strong interpersonal skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Must constantly move about; ability to work independently ascend/descend stairways; observe, instruct, supervise consumers in all activities of daily living. Ability to lift, transfer or physically assist consumers may be required. Technical skills in the area of household management. Demonstrate sound judgment, aptitude and ability to work with MR/DD population. Computer competency. Is sensitive to cultural differences and able to incorporated that understanding into service provision.
