Responsibilities:


  • Primary Responsibilities:


    • Perform Clinical Risk Management education seminars on a regular basis.
    • Provide Clinical Risk Management consultations for insureds as needed, both medical, dental and hospital based clients.
    • Identify ways to leverage risk expertise & industry knowledge to provide a marketing advantage.
    • Assist the sales team members to address customer specific Clinical Risk Management needs.
    • Assist in the development of new and maintain existing business by engaging with customers and associates.
    • Develop relationships that will strengthen ties with customers or prospects.
    • Organize, plan and execute on-site (or phone) reviews of customers / prospects.

     


  • Additional Responsibilities:

    • Assist in developing criteria on which risk management reviews are based.
    • Prepare client specific reports using a standardized reporting template for consistency.
    • Respond to inquiries by insureds on Clinical Risk Management issues with appropriate documentation.
    • Contribute to clinical risk management publications as needed.
    • Identify and develop marketing opportunities to leverage Clinical Risk Management expertise to enhance customer touch points on an ongoing basis.
    • Identify opportunities to reduce, eliminate or outsource activities of the department allowing for improved efficiency and productivity.

    Qualifications:



    • B.S. degree and/or experience in an education, journalism and/or clinical area, such as nursing, essential

    • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in the health care industry, preferably in clinical risk management

    • Excellent presentation skills

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Knowledgeable about loss control approaches for medical and dental exposures

    • Proven networking abilities

    • Travel required

    • Insurance industry and medical malpractice product knowledge, with focus on loss control for medical and dental exposures

    • Some experience in a healthcare facilities environment

    • Sales and marketing experience

    • Advanced PC Skills in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
