Senior Safety Engineer

B.S. in Civil Engineering

Must have a New Mexico PE or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire

Five or more years experience as a safety professional in heavy civil construction, including confined space/excavation, Hazardous Materials and Incident Response and OSHA HAZWOPER.

Must be US Citizen and able to obtain Top Secret or Q Clearance

Certified Safety Professional, beneficial but not necessary

30 Hour OSHA certification.

Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite 2000, PowerPoint

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

This position will review for content, construction activities as they pertain for design drawings, coordinate field change requests, oversee for the owner field construction activities for various field programs. Coordinate with additional reviewers as needed for field support as needed Maintain and track construction progress, field change requests Review and comment on contractors' Construction Safety and Health Plan as the impact the program. Coordinate with various Construction Managers for Health and Safety considerations. Prepare Weekly and Monthly Safety Reports.
