As the Sales Channel, Sr. Manager you will lead and coordinate teams in cross category activities for account/channel management.  You will establish alignment in the approach and interactions with customers; provide high level strategic service partnership integration and be responsible for strategic interactions with customers to address issues of greater impact beyond the day-to-day or near-term activity.  You will define the direction to meet future objectives and demonstrate a proven ability to provide in-depth, strategic, account service partnership that translates to sustained or increased revenue.
 
Additionally, you will be assigned account(s) of significant size, scope and complexity. You will share accountability for P/L with Business Managers for product category(s) and accounts, and lead strategic initiatives such as, but not limited to, Sony United activities.  You will manage key account strategies for a product category(s) within assigned business unit to ensure revenue goals, product assortment and profitable sell-through.  In addition, you will be involved in developing, modifying, and executing company policies that affect immediate operation(s) and may also have a company-wide effect.


  • BA/BS degree; MBA preferred

  • Equivalent experience (in lieu of education) plus 7 to 9 years of experience

  • Supervisory experience preferred

  • Previous experience with P/L responsibility

  • Must be skilled at leading a team and effectively managing a budget

  • Knowledge of trends in the retail industry

  • Strong results orientation

  • Excellent business planning and organizational skills

  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills

  • Knowledge and experience with Consumer Sales HQ functions, infrastructure and sales processes

  • Extensive knowledge of consumer electronic products, including Sony product line

  • Knowledge of FAB and STN preferred

  • Ability to travel extensively

  • There may be some flexibility in work location
