Senior Scientist, In Vivo Immune-Oncology

About the Job


We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist with experience in oncology or immunology to join the cancer immunotherapy group and contribute to our ongoing efforts in the discovery and development of immune-oncology agents. The candidate has to have the flexibility to work in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. S/He is expected to conduct bench work, keep up with relevant research field, and move drug development via interactions with cross-function groups.


  • Design and execute in vitro cell line or primary cell based experiments and optimize the assays for antibody drug candidate screening.  
  • Hands on working experience for various in vivo Immuno-oncology animal models.
  • Be able to adapt and develop new assays required for drug candidate activity assessment.
  • Design and execute mechanism of action study using animal models or ex vivo methods.
  • Analyze data, draw conclusions, and troubleshoot results independently. 
  • Record experimental protocols/results in detail and write technical reports for regulatory filings.
  • Be able to present data and communicate research results within the team or cross-function groups.
  • Attend team meetings and deliver well-prepared presentations and is expected to be an active participant in discussions.


  • PhD with 2-4 year research experience in an academic or industrial setting.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' hands on working experience on in vivo animal tumor models and mechanism of action study on immune sub-population is required.

Technical requirement:

    • Hands-on working experience on animal tumor models, multi-color flow cytometry, cell sorting, Luminex analysis is required.
    • Ability to use appropriate software to perform analysis of data is required (FlowJo, CyTOF, Excel, GraphPad Prism).
    • Must have excellent organization and planning skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently or as part of a team, good verbal and written communication, and strong motivation with a dedicated work ethic.


    • Prior experience and expertise in the fields of immune-oncology, cancer biology, and/or immunology highly preferred.
    • Proficiency in primary cell culture, in vitro or ex vivo immune cell functional assays is preferred.
    • Knowledge of operation on cutting edge technology analysis tools (i.e. RNAseq, and CyTOF) is a plus.
    • Technical expertise with immune cell-based functional assays (e.g. activation, differentiation, proliferation, and suppression assays by using monocyte/ macrophages, T-cells, or dendritic cells) is highly desired.
    • Experience with human PBMC, mammalian cell culture, animal primary cell isolation and ex vivo differentiation is a plus.
