Senior Security Analyst


 


Required skills:



  • Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent job experience

  • At least 5 years experience in Information Security, to include Intrusion Detection Systems

  • CISSP, CISA, and CEH certifications are highly desirable.

 


Job duties:



  • Develop requirements for technical capabilities

  • Recommend configuration changes to improve the performance, usability, and value of security tools

  • Coordinate with Engineering Team to ensure technical improvements are effective and maintained within configuration management structures

  • Ensure technology employed by the staff compliment operational processes

  • Provide ad hoc technical training to staff

  • Ensure analysts are using tools in the most efficient and effective manner

  • Recommend process improvements that leverage technical capabilities

  • Collect and evaluate technical suggestions provided by other team members

  • Assist Analysts with events as needed

  • Detect, report, investigate, and resolve computer security events and incidents

  • Receive and process events accurately, professionally, and quickly

  • Coordinate with ISSOs, RCSOs, CTAD Analysts, and others as needed to investigate events

  • Support ongoing investigations related to computer security and when necessary law enforcement and/or intelligence organizations

  • Identify operational efficiencies and suggest improvements to leadership

  • Collectively provide computer security event analysis capability on a 24x7x365 basis
