Senior Service Associate

About the Job

Description:
Provides routine service to brokers, bank representatives and annuitants on Structured Settlement and Lottery policies. Participates on special teams and projects.

Assists contract owners, annuitants, outside brokers/dealers, and bank representatives in the resolution of administrative issues. Responds to general written and oral inquiries concerning annuity products features, contract provisions and related laws and administrative procedures. Consults with legal and compliance staff on unusual and problem situations.

Enters data for new business into administrative systems. Handles assembly and mailing of contracts. Processes commissions and marketing allowances for brokers and agents. Analyzes and resolves commission problems.

Processes routine financial and non-financial activity on client accounts with both expediency and accuracy. This includes a wide range of routine service requests for contract holders, such as death claims, change of address, change of beneficiary, sale of payments, tax inquiries. Processes accounting entries as requested by IAD Accounting Division.

Handles premium payments within our systems and deposits in Treasury.

Works on special projects as assigned by Unit Management.

- Meet all contractual guidelines while maintaining high quality customer service standards.- Must be aware of the inherent risks surrounding financial discrepancies and errors, and understand potential loss outcomes of inaccurate handling.- Authorized disbursements up to $300,000.- Responsible for completing assignments in a timely manner and performing duties in accordance with established procedures.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelors degree and/or equivalent and related work experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of deferred and immediate annuities and their regulations.
- Good organizational skills.
- PC literacy and the ability to work in a team environment with flexible parameters.
- Good knowledge of all annuity systems.
- Duties performed under general supervision and direction of Supervisor and/or Director. Works with limited review until final result is produced.
- Solves problems within scope of responsibilities and with assistance of Director and other senior staff.
- Since responsibilities involve dealing with clients and producers on service requests and within a strict regulatory environment, requires considerable independent action and decision-making regarding research, analysis and resolution.
