GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under general direction, develops, codes, tests and debugs new complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software in a maintenance capacity. Has excellent understanding of business application. Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them. Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. May assist in development of software technical documentation. Demonstrates software. Demonstrates broad knowledge of technical solutions. Designs and codes complex applications using advanced technology; May create optimization programs to resolve problems; May design and build prototype applications.
 
The successful candidate should have the following EXPERIENCE:

• 4+ years software development experience using Java


• 2+ years Experience with SOA-style services (both WSDL-based and RESTful)


• Experience with XML/Java binding technologies such as JiBX and JAXB


• Experience with SCCM tools such as CVS, Subversion, etc.


• Strong understanding of Databases (e.g. Hibernate, Oracle and /or MySQL) and experience working with SQL and DDL


• Familiarity with caching approaches and technologies (such as JCS)


• Knowledge of OO design patterns


• Familiarity with business process management (BPM) tools (e.g. Intalio) and technologies (BPMN, BPEL)


• Familiarity with business rules management tools (e.g. JRules, DROOLS)


• Ability to identify common business components and services that can be leveraged by multiple applications.


• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal


• Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously


• Ability to work effectively with distributed teams across various product groups and geographic boundaries.


• Demonstrated accountability meeting goals and deadlines, including influencing dependent teams

EDUCATION: Bachelor degree or equivalent

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years of related experience; excellent communication skills, written and verbal; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
