Senior Software Engineer - Networking Protocols

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our Networking Protocols team. The candidate will be working as part of a small, dynamic team and will be responsible for designing, coding, and testing embedded systems related functionality. The candidate will work on innovative packet processing solutions. The ideal candidate should have industry experience in developing Networking software, TCP/IP protocols, and should be proficient in C programming language. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast paced start-up environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, code and test various functions in our product line.
• Develop embedded system software and high performance applications for packet processing.
• Produce functional specifications and design documents.
• Support and maintain developed code through system test and customer deployments.
• Contribute to overall product requirements and design.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum BSEE/CS with 5 yrs of software development experience preferably in networking.
• Experience in software-based packet handling.
• Experience developing software for networking protocols including TCP/IP and Ethernet protocols.
• Experience developing system level software in Linux/Unix development environment is desirable.
• Knowledge of security technologies including VPN and Firewalls.
• Hands on experience with multi-core, multi-threading systems a big plus.
• Hands on experience working with networking hardware interfaces.
• Familiarity with 3GPP and LTE standards a plus.
• Experience with embedded linux or any RTOS preferred.
• Proactive problem solver with great attention to detail.
• Expert in C coding.
• Excellent written/oral communication skills and strong analytical and problem solving skills.
