Senior Software Quality Engineer
About the Job
Responsibilities:
The Senior Software Quality Assurance Test Engineer is responsible for testing and debugging software products through the use of systematic tests and the analysis of test results. The Test Engineer will develop, modify and execute software test plans and develop/use testing tools and methodologies to achieve the test objectives.
Additional responsibilities include:
· Create and execute test plans and test cases.
· Create test tools and methodologies. · Work closely with software developers on a daily basis, debugging and verifying problem resolutions. · Lead and participate in design reviews and project meetings and make recommendations for product improvements. · Experience in troubleshooting using tools like Wireshark is a plus. Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. · Experience with Linux/Unix is required. · At least 5 years of software QA experience is required. · Experience with generating/inspecting traffic or decoding packets is required along with networking/network protocol knowledge. · Familiarity with programming languages: C# or Java. · Strong sense of ownership, work in environment with minimal supervision. · Prior experience as a Team Lead is a plus. · Excellent communication and organization skills.
