The Role of a SharePoint Solutions Architect
 
As the SharePoint Solutions Architect, you will provide the technical leadership and staff mentorship for our custom developed, Microsoft centered applications. Your strong analysis, design, development, integration, and implementation skills using MOSS 2007, SharePoint 2003, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, and/or .NET Framework will be used as you lead envisioning, architecture, and design discussions. You will be part of the National Application Development Practice and will work to refine and enhance our implementation methodologies practice-wide. We’ll look to you to contribute to the development of strategies, policies, and best practices.
 
As part of your project delivery responsibilities you will participate when needed as a technical expert in pre-sales qualification. You will design, develop, and articulate solutions based on a customer's strategic business or technical requirements. You will lead the implementation with responsibility for the delivery of the technical architecture designs, strategies, and quality assurance plans that will be delivered. You will work closely with Project Managers and Program Managers in the design, development, and implementation of the technical content defined in the Statement of Work. You’ll create project status reports and accurately track/manage project issues and risks.
 
As part of EMC’s Total Customer Experience, you will hold responsibility for achieving the EMC Bar of Excellence as the highest level of Customer Satisfaction for every customer. You will develop and cultivate strong customer relationships ensuring a "Customers for Life" relationship.
 
Required Skills:
·         6-10+ years of intensive experience in the analysis, design, implementation, and support of large complex applications
·         Strong background working with SPS 2003, SPS 2001, Windows SharePoint Services, SharePoint Web Part Development
·         Strong knowledge of technologies such as XML/XSL/XSD, web services, and InfoPath
·         Strong organization, analytical, and problem solving skills
·         Strong documentation skills including experience writing proposals and statements of work
·         Excellent client facing and presentation skills
·         Team leadership experience
 
Desired Skills:
·         Prior consulting experience
·         Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
·         Experience with MOSS 2007 and WSS v3.0
·         Experience with ECM technologies such as Documentum, FileNet, or LiveLink
·         Experience with BizTalk or Commerce Server
