Senior Specialist, Business Process Excellence


 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline and 3 or more years of work experience in an industrial environment, having duties relating to process analysis/improvement and project management

  • Demonstrated ability to: Define a problem. Determine Cost Analysis and Benefits Case. Identify and utilize resources to drive process improvements. Collect, statistically analyze and interpret data. Establish corrective and preventative actions. Implement improvements of medium to high complexity

  • Demonstrated experience in project management and project management tools

  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and/or be an active participant on teams

  • A minimum of Six Sigma Green Belt training or equivalent. Preference to individuals with Six Sigma Black Belt level training/certification

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and other techniques to implement process improvements

  • Experience in mentoring, coaching and developing others in process improvement and statistical analysis

  • Must be proficient in Office software, including Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and Power Point. Preference to proficiency in statistical tools

  • Excellent training and presentation skills with strong technical business writing and oral communication skills

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify opportunities and prioritize and implement strategic solutions aligned with Site Metrics, Business Objectives and Site Strategy

  • Lead and facilitate cross functional improvements. Ensure proper training is initiated. Support the process implementation changes. Maintain consistency in process execution

  • Create KPI’s to accurately assess process improvement/ cultural transformation activities. Clearly quantify/communicate improvement targets/benefits. Identify the appropriate measure for tracking success through the development of KPI’s. Track the status of improvement initiatives. Identify gaps and/ or additional opportunities

  • Communicate identified opportunities, current project(s), implemented improvements and benefits. Promote involvement and attain buy in

  • Train, mentor, lead and develop others in process improvement methodologies. Increase skill sets of BIVI employees. Engage others in a continuous improvement culture. Develop strategy for continuous improvement

  • Develop and maintain expertise in continuous improvement
