What Internal Communications contributes to Cardinal Health


Internal Communications is responsible for the development and implementation of internal communication strategies to advance engagement and business literacy of all employees.





What is expected of you for success in your role

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of internal communication channels and best practices

  • Manages vendors and collaborates with other communication resources in alignment with communication needs.

  • Produces clear, concise internal communication requiring minimal editing that inspires and motivates key employee groups

  • Identifies appropriate resources available to meet budget requirements and achieve desired results




What is expected of you and others at this level in Communications for functional success

  • Proactively develops and maintains broad knowledge of the technical disciplines in own functional area(s); applies broad knowledge of trends.

  • Demonstrates deep customer expertise; collaborates with appropriate parties to identify the drivers leading to business success.

  • Uses deep subject matter/functional expertise, influence and process skills to help internal/external customers and stakeholders identify and meet their high priority needs while considering cultural and diversity implications.

  • Jointly develops practical implementation plans that consider cultural sensitivities with other accountable parties.

  • Measures and evaluates the effectiveness of protocols, programs or deliverables; compares measurement results to standards.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (major in marketing, communications, web design, fine arts, graphic design, journalism, English or related field) preferred

  • 2-4 years work experience in related field.

  • Proficient with MS Office programs and related marketing/communications technologies

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

  • Organizational and project management skills

  • Understanding of design and expertise in PowerPoint

  • Strong writing and editing skills and the ability to package and present information

  • Knowledge of various media and how to use media to achieve results

  • Experience working with video and/or audio communication
