Fluke seeks a talented professional to work in a fast-paced, high-tech field as our Senior Specialty Technician. The candidate will be expected to perform complex analysis, troubleshooting, test, repair, calibration, rework, and/or inspection duties in one of the following areas: Process and Process Equipment, Service, Systems Maintenance, or Metrology.
Responsibilities:
Perform complex test, calibration, rework, repair, inspection, certification, and/or maintenance duties on a broad application of instruments, assemblies, subassemblies, standards, systems, semi-conductors, processes, and/or manufacturing equipment.
Demonstrated experience in Visual Basic.
Experience in troubleshooting analog and digital circuits.
Perform intense analyses and troubleshooting of complex products, systems, equipment, or processes.
Perform work on sophisticated products, multiple disciplines, multiple product lines, assignments requiring more in-depth test & measurement precision, non-Fluke products, and/or products that are no longer produced.
Setup, operate, and perform preventative maintenance on test equipment and tools (Familiar with use of oscilloscopes, voltmeters, Fluke calibrators, and general test equipment); determine and manipulate formulas as necessary.
Ability to read and understand complex Circuit Schematics.
Assist in the development of related methods, processes, and procedures.
Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation.
Experience with using Microsoft Word, Excel, and the use of macros in the context of these tools.
Familiarity with soldering principles and working with surface mount components.
Assist and train employees of lower classification.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Electronics/Chemistry, graduate of electronic tech. school, or formal metrology training.
5-8 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude a must. Experience in physical/dimensional calibration a must.
Note: Relocation Not Included, Local Candidates Preferred.
