General
Description of Position



The Senior Statistician
will provide
analytic and
clinical expertise for data analysis and scientific study
.  They
will lead analyses evaluating the impact of healthcare specific services.  A key focus of this role will be to publish and
present findings.



Essential
Duties and Responsibilities



       Provide analytic and clinical
expertise to support company products and programs. 



       Perform, present and publish advanced scientific
data analyses.



       Work with internal/external databases, customers,
& vendors to collect/manage relevant data.



       Prepares & presents findings with clear
storylines to communicate key conclusions. 



       Maintain a strong understanding of
requirements determination, data organizational structures, testing approaches,
reporting deliverables, and relevant healthcare issues and industry
initiatives.



       Maintain an awareness and understanding of
developments in statistical techniques, research principles and methodologies
relevant to healthcare program assessment.



       Collaborate and develop close working
relationships with stakeholders across the organization and industry.



       Participate in client meetings and industry conferences.  



       Ensure compliance with privacy, security, and
healthcare requirements





Skills and Requirements Neede
d to Perform Position



·        
M.S. and/or Ph.D.
degree in Statistics or Biostatistics. Other disciplines may be considered (
Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science,
Theoretical Physics, Quantitative Social Sciences, Information Systems)



·        
5
years postgraduate experience in statistical analysis



·        
Strong
healthcare analysis background and experience



·        
Experience
working in/with government agencies preferred.



·        
Knowledge
of current healthcare trends
advanced
healthcare reporting methodologies such as Episodes of Care and Risk Adjustment
 and HEDIS



·        
Critical
thinker with strong analytic modeling and technical skills



·        
Exceptional
written and verbal communication skills



·        
Exceptional
SAS, SQL, Excel, Access, Oracle, Unix
Scripts and data management skills
