With our growing business, we are looking for a Senior Strategic Account Manager!
The Senior Strategic Account Manager serves as a day-to-day, point of contact for one of our top marquee clients and coordinates internal company resources in the name of growing client business. You will manage the strategic relationship with our top-tier client and maintain continuous proactive dialogue with the client to ensure that their needs are being met by Lyris' technology and services. You will learn and understand the client’s business and how their customers plan to use the Lyris HQ platform. You will identify and capitalize on growth and expansion opportunities, and translate those opportunities into technical solutions or supporting services. You will ensure the client is satisfied with their email/online marketing program results.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure client is successfully using the Lyris HQ application by working with client to understand their business objectives and recommend strategies to achieve their online marketing goals.
- Overall strong knowledge of Lyris HQ, including the admin section.
- Specific knowledge about the email application (old and new GUI).
- Ability to answer questions about the application or at least know where to obtain the information.
- Ability to investigate whether client requested workflows can be completed within LHQ. Added bonus: investigate potential workarounds to accomplish the user’s goal.
- Ability to identify features that client mentions that aren’t in the product and communicate those features effectively internally.
- Know how to ask questions to reveal the user’s goals and understand the needs of different users. Ability to communicate that information internally and externally.
- Ability to understand technical conversations in order to take meeting notes and inform others, not present, about the core issues and potential solutions discussed.
- Scheduling meetings and ensuring that everyone knows the purpose of the meeting and has the information necessary prior to the meeting.
- General knowledge of Lyris and who to talk to get tasks outside of Account Management accomplished.
- Ability to answer basic questions about the project and use cases asked by people in other organizations.
- Ability to manage a large project broken into smaller projects and keep the tasks organized according to sub-project.
- Take ownership of the projects and tasks that are assigned. Don’t assume someone else will take care of it.
- Ability to keep track of account charges and when invoices are sent.
- Ability to quickly understand, assess, and address client’s challenges and effectively work towards resolution.
- Ensure clients are adhering to deliverability best practices and are compliant with industry regulations.
- Ensure clients are following email marketing best practices to optimize their online marketing efforts.
- Develop strong relationships with clients to protect ongoing revenue stream and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
- Work closely with internal departments such as Product, Engineering, Sales, Training, Deliverability, Professional Services, and Customer Support to provide services required to meet client program expectations.
- Drive regular account review with client.
- Willing to travel to client site for meetings; 1-2x per quarter.
- Provide insight on client’s needs to internal teams on a regular basis; represent clients' views, requirements, and experience throughout the organization.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- BA/BS required
- 5+ years experience in project management, program management, account management, or client services
- 3+ years of SaaS experience; prefer CRM or online marketing experience
- Some sales experience preferred, but not required
- Excellent communicator; strong verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Strong follow up skills
- Confident in abilities
- Self-sufficient
- Flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to work tactfully through challenging client issues
- Superior project management & time management skills; strong business acumen
- Problem solver who takes initiative to get things done; an enthusiastic go-getter!
- Technically literate and comfortable working with online marketing technologies, and desire to build technical knowledge
- Willing to learn on own and work with the Lyris HQ application
