Monster is hiring a talented Senior Sustaining Software Engineer to support the hardware and software environments with one of the most-trafficked and recognizable sites on the web. We seek engineers with the skills, commitment, and leadership to help us innovate and grow. Essential Functions: Primarily provide support and maintenance for web based applications built on the Microsoft .NET platform. Support hardware and software environments including server configuration, performance monitoring and optimization, software installation and automation support. Interface with operational teams including DB Admin, Systems Admin and Production Engineering. Candidates must have excellent analytical skills, and experience with all phases of SDLC. Should be comfortable with direct communication with all levels of technical and business resources. Will have responsibility for contributing to the development of solutions for all tiers of the application. · Experience with analysis, debugging and resolution of issues across all supported environments (Production, QA, Integration and Development) · 2-4 years industry experience · Experience with monitoring high traffic systems and web server log analytics. · Prior experience with automated build and deployment and continuous integration. · Experience with scripting languages such as Perl and batch for automation of tasks. · Two or more years of development experience with C# and ASP.NET applications. · Some knowledge in OO development principles. · Experience working on large projects with cross functional development teams. · Good fundamental, hands on, knowledge of MS SQL Server or other relational database, and working knowledge of SQL scripting. · Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal skills.
