We are looking for a highly-skilled, energetic individual to join ATG’s infrastructure operations team. The person in this role will be part of a group responsible for ATG’s corporate and software development infrastructure environments worldwide, with primary responsibility for ATG’s corporate email and Windows server infrastructure.
This position requires a broad technical background with expertise and troubleshooting skills in several key areas. You should consider yourself a team leader and have significant experience with complex technical projects.
Responsibilities:
This person will have primary responsibility for the management of the Microsoft-OS based servers and systems in use at ATG, and will provide secondary support for other parts of the infrastructure.
Specific duties will include:
Management of the email environment, including Exchange 2007 and sendmail-based front end servers for spam and virus filtering.
Management of the Microsoft Active Directory structure and services, including accounts, DNS, and DHCP, and integration of *nix authentication.
Management of the backup and recovery system.
Automation of tasks through scripting and process automation.
Fault detection and resolution, configuration management, change management, and performance management.
Consolidation and retirement of excess server inventory.
Third-tier support of end-user trouble tickets.
Off-hours system coverage when on-call.
The successful candidate will possess:
At least 8 years of experience in a related IT function, with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and monitor system processes, memory, and load.
Scripting skills in perl, vbscript, and/or Powershell.
Experience with Linux, VMWare, and Cisco routers and switches.
Solid understanding of IP networking fundamentals.
