• Formal analysis and documentation of business opportunities and value proposition in the domain of collaboration services.
• Providing expert guidance around the use of SharePoint collaboration services.
• Architecting, implementing and maintaining an enterprise SharePoint environment for internal and extranet opportunities
• Advise management of options, risks, costs and benefits of various SharePoint-related technology solutions.
• Leads project management and design efforts on collaboration services projects.
• Implementing Web 2.0 social collaboration technologies including but not limited to Wiki, blogging, My Pages, personal profiles, etc.
• Demonstrating the ultimate value of SharePoint and collaboration technologies via the development of integration, job-aids, templates, and prototypes with companion technologies such as Exchange, Microsoft Office, SQL Server and Oracle databases, and other capabilities.
• Providing training, documentation and production support to enable the operations team with the daily administration, support and deployments of applications within the SharePoint environment.
• Responsible for writing technical documentation and strategic technical reports in the domain of accountability.
• Mentor, train, and develop junior staff on collaboration technologies.
• Team lead and supervisor to junior staff (when assigned).
• BS in Computer Science, MIS or an engineering discipline. Or a BS in a non-technical field with an MS in Computer Science or MIS.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in infrastructure or enterprise services or systems design.
• 3-5 years experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2003/2007 and other MOSS technologies (i.e. InfoPath, Excel Services, Enterprise Search, FAST, DPM 2007, ForeFront and Ops Manager etc.).
• Knowledge of both the hardware and software technologies required to develop and support web-based, collaboration environments.
• Knowledge of database technology, utilization, and applications especially SQL Server 2005 and Oracle 9i.
• Knowledge of project management, systems analysis, planning, and design techniques.
• Technical and business communications skills including written documentation and presentation preparation and delivery.
• Knowledgeable of and proficient in the effective use of Internet-based and open source collaboration, Web 2.0, wikis and social networking tools.
