We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer, Collaboration Services and Technologies who will join our Information Technology team.

This Senior Systems Engineer will be a leader in enterprise in discovering, understanding and advocating the effective use of collaboration services and technologies as a means to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and performance of individuals, teams and organizations across the enterprise. They will be able to demonstrate proficiency with or quickly learn advanced knowledge and skills with the industry leading Microsoft, Web 2.0, open source, and complementary technologies. The role requires a versatile contributor with skills that cross the range of the development lifecycle starting with mapping a customer’s business problem, value and needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and production turnover.

• Formal analysis and documentation of business opportunities and value proposition in the domain of collaboration services.
• Providing expert guidance around the use of SharePoint collaboration services.
• Architecting, implementing and maintaining an enterprise SharePoint environment for internal and extranet opportunities
• Advise management of options, risks, costs and benefits of various SharePoint-related technology solutions.
• Leads project management and design efforts on collaboration services projects.
• Implementing Web 2.0 social collaboration technologies including but not limited to Wiki, blogging, My Pages, personal profiles, etc.
• Demonstrating the ultimate value of SharePoint and collaboration technologies via the development of integration, job-aids, templates, and prototypes with companion technologies such as Exchange, Microsoft Office, SQL Server and Oracle databases, and other capabilities.
• Providing training, documentation and production support to enable the operations team with the daily administration, support and deployments of applications within the SharePoint environment.
• Responsible for writing technical documentation and strategic technical reports in the domain of accountability.
• Mentor, train, and develop junior staff on collaboration technologies.
• Team lead and supervisor to junior staff (when assigned).

• BS in Computer Science, MIS or an engineering discipline. Or a BS in a non-technical field with an MS in Computer Science or MIS.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in infrastructure or enterprise services or systems design.
• 3-5 years experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2003/2007 and other MOSS technologies (i.e. InfoPath, Excel Services, Enterprise Search, FAST, DPM 2007, ForeFront and Ops Manager etc.).
• Knowledge of both the hardware and software technologies required to develop and support web-based, collaboration environments.
• Knowledge of database technology, utilization, and applications especially SQL Server 2005 and Oracle 9i.
• Knowledge of project management, systems analysis, planning, and design techniques.
• Technical and business communications skills including written documentation and presentation preparation and delivery.
• Knowledgeable of and proficient in the effective use of Internet-based and open source collaboration, Web 2.0, wikis and social networking tools.
