

Description:
The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support in the integration and product sell-off of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems on a Physical Security Program. The candidate will apply Systems Engineering processes and practices on C4I System integration and selloff tasks and activities such as analysis of the C4I design, development of detailed integration and test plans, conduct of said procedures, and related activities leading up to final equipment selloff.
The candidate will have frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. The candidate will provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. The candidate will work under general supervision, and will follow established processes and procedures.
The candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to team with multiple internal stakeholders.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Interface with C4I design team so as to review the designs physical, functional and operational characteristics so as to develop a thorough understanding of the integration and selloff strategies and approaches.
- Provide inputs to the C4I Integration Plan.
- Develop and upgrade the test environment (HW, SW, tools, etc.) targeted for use as the C4I System Acceptance tester.
- Develop detailed C4I integration and acceptance test procedures.
- Perform integration of C4I Systems elements, including SW installation and management, and configuration of computer, network and peripherals.
- Execute test procedures, analyze test results, troubleshoot anomalies, and document failures.
- Provide recommendations to the C4I System design team for changes and enhancements as necessary.
- Provide Headquarter support to forward sites on fielded systems as necessary.
- Travel up to 10% of the time.
Experience:
- Experience in a Systems Engineering roles on Programs of equivalent complexity (required).
- Experience in the development, engineering test, transition to production, sell-off, and field installation of Hardware and Software based products (required).
- Experience in performing tasks in inter-disciplined development teams (required).
- Strong communication and presentation skills (required).
- Demonstrated commitment to achieve (required).
- Ability to travel approx 10% (required).
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance within 12 months (required).
Secret
Qualifications:
This position requires a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related scientific or technical disciplines, or Bachelor's degree with minimum 2 years of experience (or equivalent technical work experience).
Related work experience includes the following:
Systems engineering from requirements, design, integration and test, and field installation.
Due to the nature of work performed in our facility, U.S. citizenship is required. This position does require the ability to obtain Secret clearance within 12 months.
