Venable LLP, one of the top 100 law firms in the U.S., has an opening for an experienced Information Technology professional to join our dynamic Networking and Systems team in the design, implementation and maintenance of the firm's network and systems management platforms. 

Responsibilities include ensuring optimal performance levels of the firm's network and system management solutions, managing the evaluation and implementation of new security patches and upgrades, managing review and evaluation processes for the firm's data backup operations, designing log aggregation and collection solutions, and maintaining Data Center management tools and environmental systems.  Technologies used include: Orion, CommVault, Virtual Center, System Insight Manager, Space Observer, Infrastructure Central, Windows Servers, VMware, EMC Storage, Cisco network equipment and IP Telephony.

Technical requirements include a minimum of five years of experience maintaining network and systems infrastructure and related components, including hands-on experience with servers and virtual system platforms, disk storage subsystems, network switches and routers, network and systems management platforms, log aggregation and data center monitoring tools.

Other requirements include project management experience, the ability to travel to all firm offices to perform maintenance on server or networking equipment during off-hours and be on-call for emergency support as needed. The Senior Systems Operations Analyst will report to the Director of Network and Systems Infrastructure.
