FANUC Robotics America, Inc. is the leader in designing, engineering and manufacturing innovative robots and robotic systems that impact business performance for global customers. We have a unique opportunity for a Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. Primary responsibilities will include:
· Ensure timely and accurate tax filings in compliance with local, state, federal and international requirements. Responsible for US and Canadian Corporate Income Tax Returns and Year End Tax Provisions (FASB 109)
· Monitor and implement processes to ensure the attainment of accurate and timely financial data for tax requirements including the following:
· Sales tax, VAT and GST reporting and filing
· International business transactions
· Foreign subsidiary tax support
· Research and Development (R&D) tax credits
· Lead all corporate tax planning and compliance matters, including international, federal, state & local
· Work closely with Accounting and Analysis team to perform tax related functions
· Tax risk management, communicate tax risks and emerging tax regulation changes to management, monitor, recommend and implement measures to minimize tax and related liabilities
· Coordinate all tax matters with external accounting firms, both domestic and international
· Develop, recommend and implement strategic tax plans worldwide
· Perform and lead all corporate tax audits
· Perform analysis of product pricing and “strategic” reviews for transfer price compliance under Section 482
· Manage real and personnel property tax matters for all locations
· Support the Operations group with their development and maintenance of corporate export and customs procedures and requirements as needed
· Support the Human Resource Department in the management of expatriate/foreign national taxation issues
· Minimize corporate cash requirements through optimal management of tax payment forecasting
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Tax or Accounting, CPA or Master degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
· 5 or more years of progressive tax and accounting experience
· International tax experience desirable
· Tax Dimensions Software experience desirable
· Demonstrated success in a business role or project management experience
· Transfer Pricing Analysis and Compliance under Section 482
