Sr. Tax Analyst - Transfer Pricing – Long Island City, NY
Summary of Responsibilities:
This position assists management in implementing transfer pricing policies and procedures for the organization, working with Tax functions, foreign affiliates, Finance management and internal service organizations with an emphasis on Tax audit, compliance and risk assessment requirements. Key focus areas include: assessment of US and foreign tax risk; identifying US and foreign tax compliance requirements for transfer pricing; reviewing annual transfer pricing tax compliance; assisting with US and foreign transfer pricing audits; participating in the transfer pricing planning process; and identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Evaluates US and foreign tax risk for FIN 48.
• Develops expertise in US and local countries’ tax requirements for transfer pricing.
• Organizes responses to US and foreign tax authorities, and assists with US and foreign transfer pricing audits.
• Reviews transfer pricing supporting documentation for annual tax return.
• Verifies compliance with transfer pricing policies and internal audit recommendations.
• Assists in coordinating the transfer pricing planning process, to ensure that services are properly documented and represent arm’s length charges, in accordance with Tax policies.
• Participates in stewardship recommendations.
• Identifies process improvement opportunities and assists in implementing solutions.
Job Requirements:
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, communications, prioritization and time management skills.
• 8-10 years tax experience in a public accounting or public company environment.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance or transfer pricing processes.
• Ability to promptly acquire an understanding of the organization’s operations and its tax accounting systems.
• Proficient in use of computerized financial reporting and data management systems.
• Requires a high degree of professionalism, sound judgment and discretion in contacts with management and outside organizations.
