Senior Technical Coordinator
About the Job
The candidate will work under the direction of the Sr. Managers in the Strategic Alliances and the Biosciences group and be responsible for receiving, maintaining and distributing the ingredients in a chemical archive. The candidate is expected to timely catalog, track, and distribute all new ingredients, as well as to collect, organize, and timely distribute all needed documentation to the appropriate groups throughout R&D in support of the Bioscience Teams' activities. The candidate will handle all of the submissions of the ingredients to various groups including analytical, cell biology, and product development which will involve weighing, sampling, tracking inventory and forecasting future needs based on the feedback from the support groups. In addition the candidate will handle correspondence with suppliers of the ingredients and maintain any accompanying reports and billing invoices. This position requires the candidate to be highly organized with good interpersonal skills.
The candidate appropriate for this position will have an Associate's Degree in Chemistry (preferred), Biochemistry or Biology with a minimum 2 years relevant experience or a HS Degree with 6-8 years relevant lab/science experience. Experience working in a chemical archive setting is a plus as is an aptitude for working with databases such as Access or equivalent. The candidate is expected to be able to work safely with both chemical and biological samples in a lab setting including weighing, sub sampling, making sample dilutions and archiving. In addition, the candidate is expected to possess strong communication, record keeping, organizational and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be able to work with minimal direction and show initiative and proactive attitude. A strong work ethic and good attendance is essential.
