Provide Board, Commission, and Task Force support for Department of Defense.  In the role as the Senior Technical Writer the individual is responsible for articulating in writing the products that represent the Commission to the Congress, the Administration, the Press, and the citizens of the United States.  Includes technical support and oversight for production and process of Board, Commission, and Task Force reports.  Significant prior experience writing similar reports within the Federal Government and/or Congressional environment required.

Requirements:

a. Five (5) or more years experience performing technical writer duties in a Federal Government and/or Congressional office environment         
b. Provide Technical support and oversight for production and process of Commission reports         
c. Improve the clarity of research and its accessibility to diverse audiences while crafting communication products to meet the need of specific audiences         
d. Translate technical material into a form appropriate for decision makers         
e. Write summaries and research briefs while integrating the work of multiple authors and Commissioners’ feedback
