SUMMARY: Maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware, video wall, software, and network systems in a new Regional Traffic Management Center (RTMC); provide 24/7 on-call support; perform inventory, user training, help desk staffing, backups, system monitoring, and support for system and database administration.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires an AA degree in Computer Science or a related field or trade school education with one year experience in the operations of a computer operations center or computer helpdesk activities facility. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Professional A+ certificate required. MSCE certificate desired. Experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) hardware integration, troubleshooting, and Transportation Management Center (TMC) Information Technology (IT) support desired; Windows, Oracle, and network administration experience desired; excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, preferably bilingual (English and Spanish). Requires 24/7 on-call support in rotation with other staff members and will require off-hours performance of system administration tasks. Occasional shift work required. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
