About the role
This position will be responsible for automating existing functional test cases, designed to test various Monster web based applications. The automation will be developed using the HP Quick Test Professional (v10.0 or higher, VBScript) automation tool. The automation scripts will be organized and test suites established using the HP Quality Center (v9.2 or higher) application.
This position will be responsible for automating existing functional test cases, designed to test various Monster web based applications. The automation scripts will be organized and test suites established using the HP Quality Center (v9.2 or higher) application.
This position will also be responsible for executing and maintaining existing automation to support ongoing Monster projects. This position will be responsible for logging/tracking any defects found in a defect tracking system. This position will be responsible for working with the test case creators to ensure proper understanding of the test cases and their verification points. This position will be responsible for sending status reports communicating the results of their automation executions.
This is a one-year contract-based role, with the possibility for extension.
Job Requirements:
- Programming Knowledge
- Must have a sound understanding and experience with structured programming languages.
- Must have a sound understanding of object oriented programming concepts.
- Experience with HP Quality Center and HP QTP, preferably with Web based applications.
- Experience with similar automation tools will also be considered.
- Must be fluent in English (Speaking/Reading/Writing). Underlying test cases are written in English, and all communications within the team will be in English.
Nice to have Skills:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or computer related field that concentrates on programming.
- Familiar with web based technologies
- Experience with some form of defect tracking system.
- Understanding of software development lifecycles.
- Experience with running queries against structured databases.
- Familiar with IE and Firefox browsers and their configuration settings.
