Chartis has an opportunity for a Senior Commercial Insurance Underwriter in its Global Energy and Marine division.
Under general direction, accepts, declines or modifies new and renewal submissions of Global Energy lines submitted by brokers.
Understands the coverages afforded by the form and can explain the exposures to loss assumed and restricted by the insuring agreements and the exclusions.
Identifies exposures and understands the appropriate questions to ask and analysis required to underwrite the designated Global Energy line.
Understand how a company is performing relative to its peers, and have an understanding on the future prospects of the company and its industry group.
Analyze the risks associated with different Industry Group segments.
Review claims history and identifies loss experience.
Either independently, or in consultation with Team Leader, prepares pricing and negotiation strategy and negotiates coverages and price with producers consistent with the quality of the risk and company strategy.
Develop and build relationships with producers and make independent calls to brokers to market products.
Organize and prioritize risks and effectively communicate information needs to the broker with emphasis on building relationships.
