We are looking for a highly-skilled, energetic individual to join ATG’s infrastructure operations team. The person in this role will be part of a group responsible for ATG’s corporate and software development infrastructure environments worldwide, with primary responsibility for ATG’s corporate email and Windows server infrastructure.
This position requires a broad technical background with expertise and troubleshooting skills in several key areas. You should consider yourself a team leader and have significant experience with complex technical projects.
Responsibilities:
This person will have primary responsibility for all UNIX and Linux systems at ATG. In addition to maintaining about 30 infrastructure *NIX systems, this person will also work closely with the company's QA and Development organizations in maintaining about 300 additional systems, including Solaris, Linux, HP-UX, and AIX, in both physical and virtual environments.
Specific duties will include:
Building up servers through automation and scripting.
Red Hat/CentOS expert. Should also have experience with Solaris, AIX, and HP-UX.
Storage administration, with NetApp NAS and/or HP EVA SAN.
Management of mail relays, particularly with Sendmail MTA.
Implementing systems monitoring and performance tuning with Nagios and Cacti.
Management of host-level security, sudo, SSH, key authentication.
Hardware and software RAID configuration, especially Sun Volume Manager.
Off-hours system coverage when on-call.
The successful candidate will possess:
Minimum 8 years of experience in a related IT function, with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot complex systems problems spanning applications, operating system, servers, storage, and networks.
Scripting skills in with Shell scripting, Perl, and Java/J2EE.
Experience with Cisco routers, firewalls, and switches (CCNA certification a plus).
