As a Senior User Experience Manager you will build and manage a team of UX and Visual designer to design and prototype the client’s consumer electronic products.  Your team will define and build applications and products while developing world class consumer experiences in a fast-paced, agile, work environment that has a startup vibe.

Responsibilities:

• Build and manage a successful team of User Experience and Visual Designers

• Effectively manage and assign priorities and workloads

• Have a healthy dose of uncanny wittiness, imagination, and liveliness which helps to support personal and team energy

• Earn respect and credibility with stakeholders, management peers, direct reports, and executive leaders

• Craft the vision for developing, communicating, and executing the user experience and related user interface framework and assets on a wide range of products while following through with the processes and strategies to apply the vision.

• Present, cultivate, and ensure best design practices, processes and communicate expectations throughout the organization

• Experienced customer advocates while incorporating user research in the design process

• Proven expert in design methods, tools, communication, and presentation skills

• Design world-class, stunning user interfaces, visuals and layouts that support and strengthen our client’s product concept, brand, and business goals

Experience/Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Visual or Graphic Design, HCI, Interaction Design or related field preferred (Degree may be substituted with significant industry experience and accomplishments)

• 10 plus years of experience in Product, Web, Mobile, Interaction Design

• 5 plus years successfully managing interactive design teams

• Proficient with the considerations of mobile design

• Expert planning skills; you enjoy staying one step ahead of the work and you can model needs against important roadmaps to make fact-based recommendations to management about staffing needs

• Proficient in the English language and demonstrates and ability to lead convincing presentations to senior management

• Proven experience with fast, iterative design and development processes

• Knowledge of creative tools used for digital and print designers and knows when to use them appropriately

• History of building successful design teams
