POSITION DESCRIPTION
Senior Water System Operator
Opening exists for an experienced, mechanically-minded person for the operation and maintenance of water treatment system, including public water systems. Regular duties include performance monitoring, maintaining system pumps, equipment and facilities; and performing and supervising the required testing. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and compliance of water supply and water treatment systems, so an understanding of treatment processes and equipment will be valuable. Position performs regular checks on machinery, pumps and equipment as well as the valves and chemical feed equipment; prepares periodic reports as required.
Certification as a Water Treatment Operator in Nevada preferred. Certification in other states with ability to obtain Nevada license is acceptable.
Position may or may not include opportunities for travel.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to direct your own work.
Supervises other operations staff as required.
