Senior Wireless Systems Verification Engineer

Wireless Systems Verification Engineer will be responsible for assuring SW releases on platform and customer based wireless solutions fully satisfy all expected requirements. As part of the System Level Design and Test organization, by participating in the platform development life cycle, ensures delivery of high quality platform solutions to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Development and timely execution of test plans (integration, system, regression, etc.) across multiple hardware platforms for all software releases.
• Creation and follow up of trouble tickets during verification process.
• Creation and maintenance of testing environment.
• Creation of test scripts to perform verification tests.
• Working in lab environment with system, software and verification cross functional team, ensuring timely closure of problems reported during verification and on time completion of release cycle.

Requirements:

• BSEE/BSCS required and MS/PhD degree is plus.
• 7+ years or more of experience in writing software test plans, scripts, and their execution on platforms running Solaris, Linux, MAC/Windows OS.
• Working knowledge of wireless technologies (e.g. GSM, CDMA, WBCDMA, HSUPA/HSDPA, UMTS, LTE.
• Hands on experience with wireless communication test sets (R&S CMU200, Agilent 8960) spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, audio analyzers/generators, oscilloscopes, power supplies/meters, etc.
• Audio analog/digital hardware verification
• 3GPP audio system level verification
• Instrumentation Programming experience: Agilent VEE and/or LabVIEW, Visual Basic.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Team player, independent, self-starter, adaptable to rapidly changing market requirements, with prioritization skills required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and spreadsheet applications.
• Experience with developing and reviewing technical documents.

DESIRED:

• Experience in mobile phone protocol stacks.
• Experience in customer facing and customer support role.
• Experience in SW configuration management tools such as ClearCase and Change Request management tools.
• Ability to read and understand board schematics.
• Experience with real-time debug systems.
• Windows Mobile Programming.
• Experience with WLAN or Bluetooth.
• Audio circuitry design knowledge.
