The Senior Writer/Editor is responsible for creating original content and performing advanced writing, copyediting, and proofing to produce high quality information that markets and communicates TG’s programs, products, and services. The primary responsibilities of this position are to write, edit, and proofread electronic and print communication pieces.
EDUCATION REQUIRED: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, advertising, public relations, marketing, or related field.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED: Minimum of seven years in writing and copyediting with extensive experience in editing final copy, including content, format, and grammar. Multiple writing styles are necessary. Requires the ability to work independently without strict supervision and as a member or leader of a team and the ability to establish and maintain effective, positive relations with team members and customers. Must be able to prioritize, work on multiple projects simultaneously, maintain quality, and set and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in a corporate communications environment preferred.
