SERVICE ADVISOR

Penn Detroit Diesel-Allison, LLC, a leading distributor of Detroit Diesel engines, Allison transmissions and Carrier transport refrigeration, is currently seeking an experienced Customer Support Representative (Service Advisor) to work out of our Rochester location.  This position will act as a liaison between the customers and the Service Department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

·         Receives incoming inquiries, either via phone, email or in person, regarding company’s services.

·         Responsible for Repair Orders; initially opens repairs orders via computerized AS400 system, reviews repair orders and communicates repair order status to customers, closes repair orders.

·         Responds to inquiries regarding company’s services, pricing, dates repairs will be completed, adjustments to bills/repair orders, etc.

·         Processes and/or expedites customer orders

·         Investigates and resolves a variety of problems.

·         Promotes/sells company’s services

·         Assesses needs and suggests/promotes alternative products/services.

·         Utilizes computerized systems to gather information, troubleshoot, track calls, enter /confirm sales.

·         Coordinates activities with other internal departments to meet customer needs.

·         Under immediate supervision, and in accordance with established procedures, performs tasks that are routine in nature, requiring little evaluation, originality and/or ingenuity.  Instructions are usually detailed.

In order to be considered for this position an individual must have prior Truck/Automotive Service/Dealership experience.  Also, strong written and verbal communications, along with strong telephone skills are a must.
