TITLE: SERVICE CENTER ADMINISTRATOR
SUMMARY: Under direct supervision of the Service Center Manager, has responsibility for the timely performance of administrative functions and customer service duties.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent, 3 – 5 years administrative or customer service experience. Microsoft Office.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires minimal physical activity but does require computer usage for an extended period of time – up to 8 hours in a day. No unusual environmental, lifting or exertion requirements are associated with this position.
DUTIES:
• Input of new orders into the computer system
• Answer in-coming phone calls and distribute accordingly.
• Handle customer calls including: providing directions to the Service Center, providing information regarding orders, routing calls to appropriate individuals to assure accurate information is provided.
• Assist with will-call customers.
• Coordinate and file, in an organized manner, various papers and records.
• Print various documentation such as: Bill of Ladings, Packing Slips, and PIC lists.
• Prepare Federal Express shipments and paperwork.
• Prepare and/or run various reports as requested by the Service Center Manager.
• Assist with scheduling in-bound and out-bound shipments.
• Interact and provide assistance to Customer Service, located in St. Louis.
• Back up various warehouse functions as requested which may include: picking orders, putting stock away, cycle counts, tinting, and loading trucks.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Is knowledgeable of product use, units of measure, package codes, computer reports and computer programs.
• Maintains current reference material.
• Works closely with Service Center Manager in coordinating inventory movement, ROP’s, ROQ’s, Replenishment orders.
• Assist in timely and accurate completion of Baan transactions as requested.
• Tracks and reports monthly expense details.
• Handles special assignments as needed.
• Participate in Total Quality and ERP process.
