Description

CSC is supporting the Army Reserve Family Programs Directorate for Survivor Outreach Services (SOS). SOS provides substantial support to the Casualty Assistance Officer to ensure families receive the most current information and have access to long-term financial and emotional support. SOS services are available to all survivors, not just survivors of the current conflict, and are available until the survivor desires to discontinue services. In addition, the AR SOS staff will provide awareness education to the military community about the needs of survivors and maintain linkage between survivor and the Army.
CSC is seeking a Support Coordinator for the SOS Program under supervision of the Army Reserve Family Programs Director. Candidate selected will be responsible for linking all phases of the SOS program, and willserve as a Subject Matter Expert on survivor support issues and services.
Essential Job Functions
  • Conduct sbriefings to community to increase community knowledge of SOS services.
  • Identifies needs of the customer and refers as appropriate for assistance and follow-up.
  • Coordinates with Family Program Director, Casualty Assistance Center, Benefits Specialist, and financial couselors to review cases.
  • Assists customers with advocacy for eligible benefits and develops a plan of action based on customer needs. Keeps abreast of research and policy/legislative changes impacting survivors.
  • Coordinates and conducts support groups, life skill education and supportive counseling for survivors using various venues. Provides information and referral services for survivors. Provides respite care services as requested.
  • Develops partnerships with military, civilian and non-governmental agencies to leverage support.
  • Assists in the interpretation of demand forecasts and in the planning and delivery of end-to-end services.
  • Maintains records of account specific service problems and assists in prioritizing work requests.
  • Assists in coordinating communications between Line of Service (LOS) and client to ensure that integration of new, enhanced and existing service offerings meet client specifications.
  • Assists in identifying service improvements to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Ensures satisfactory delivery of all projects.


Qualification
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences (social work, psychology, counseling, sociology) from an accredited college/university is required..
  • Zeroor more years of support services or project or program experience
  • Experience working with the technology industry
  • Experience working with company products and operating systems



Other Qualifications
  • Four or more years of support services or project or program experience preferred
  • Basic project management skills
  • Basic analytical and problem solving skills
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
