Job Description
Job Summary:

This is a key IT position within the Process Management Group Infrastructure - Service Transition and Implementation organization. In this role, you will be an acting member of the project management team and will help develop the team project management processess and best practices.

Responsibilities:

As an acting member of the project management team, you will:

o    Manage various Group Infrastructure Implementation projects both in North America and on occasion           globally

o    Help develop Project Management processes and team best practices

o    Master AtTask tool and associated processes

o    Understand and develop Capacity management processes

Working with Group Infrastructure management, coordinate Process Management initiatives to improve Service Desk efficiency

o    Manage Process Management initiatives in order of priority

o    Be Corporate Service Desk team partner for new sites on boarding projects

o    Coordinate improvement requests  and monitor progress for proper task execution

o    Increase Infrastructure Support Queue efficiency

o    Prepare and facilitate Sustaining committee meetings

o    Establish meaningful service level reports that highlight weak points and help improve KPIs

Specific Responsibilities

o    Promote “Infrastructure as a Service” concepts with the goal to achieve higher standardization

o    Coordinate project resources to help deliver infrastructure services and solutions from the Design stage through         to hand over to the Users and Operations teams

o    Use ITIL best practices in the development of Project Management processes

o    Communicate efficiently and regularly with teams engaged in projects via well prepared meetings and                         presentations

o    Contribute to Service Desk improvement initiatives and projects, by establishing the shortest path to delivery and       influencing Corporate teams to deliver results in line with expectation

o    Liaise with Process Management representatives from all world areas through the Sustaining team is order to             inform and update on relevant initiatives

o    Participate in project management team meetings and to continue to develop PM best practices and apply them

o    Master AtTask project management suite and processes and apply to projects

o    Understand and use the stage-gate process

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business + 8 years related experience; OR Masters degree + 7 years related experience 

Requirements of the Role

o    Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT Services

o   Proven Project Management experience – formal training beneficial, AtTask knowledge a plus

o    Demonstrate Leadership skills along with the ability to interact and lead people in a matrix organization –       tact and diplomacy are essential attributes

o    Strong, demonstrable Customer focus with strong analytical capabilities

o    An effective communicator and negotiator, the candidate will also have good presentation skills and the         ability to facilitate/manage business/technical meetings

o    Ability to work under pressure and demonstrably action orientated

 o    ITIL Services management methodology

o    Flexible attitude towards working hours, be prepared to travel in other World Areas if required
