Job Title: Field Electronic Technician
SUMMARY
Performs field repairs and/or installations of electronic marine and related equipment and systems. Interfaces directly with customers to determine specifics and priorities of client service needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Repairs electronic equipment and systems in the field while in a predominantly unsupervised environment.
· Applies and adheres to strict workplace safety standards.
· Analyzes, assesses, and plans repair and service requirements and related parts and procurement needs.
· Confers with customer/client contacts and exercises good judgment in establishing the urgency and priority of repair and service needs.
· Maintains work and time schedule required for the delivery of a quality and efficient service response.
· Applies related mechanical skills as required.
· Processes service tickets relative to assigned repair or service task.
· Prepares inspection and/or compliance reports as required for submission to appropriate regulatory concern.
· Maintains inventory records on parts and equipment issued to assigned company vehicle and monitors vehicle’s maintenance and service needs.
· Maintains accurate records of any and all expenses incurred and applied to company credit card if issued and as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires knowledge of marina control and alarm systems and other industry related operating systems and a basic knowledge of word processing, e-mail, and internet usage.
CERTIFICATES and LICENSES
Requires Federal Communications Commission (FCC) License, Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) Certification, and Radar Systems Endorsement
