Service Technician (Irvine)

Position Description:

  • Seeking two to three years of experience in building maintenance or other relevant work experience. Technical degree or education preferred.Perform all general apartment and facilities maintenance under minimum supervision in a manner, which insures the preservation of optimum quality and efficient production.
  • Contribute to the achievement of occupancy goals by effectively performing maintenance tasks, which promote a quality living experience for residents.
  • Contribute to the achievement of financial goals through high productivity and cost awareness, without compromising quality.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory and preparation of related paperwork.
  • Keep storage facilities in an orderly, working condition.
  • Serve as a resource for management and assist in the development and communication of more efficient methods of maintaining the apartment community.
  • Participate in after-hours and emergency coverage as assigned by the Service Manager.
  • Promote positive, proactive resident relations by demonstrating “firm, fair, and consistent” treatment during all resident interactions.
  • Work to make the living experience, particularly the first and last impressions, of the highest quality.
  • Facilitate introduction of the resident to company apartment procedures.
  • Remain informed and aware of conditions that could have an impact on our ability to maintain a quality living environment for our residents.
  • Perform specific carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, masonry, hazardous material abatement, and appliance repairs in accordance with company standards, and in conjunction with management staff.
  • Complete related paperwork and have good follow through.


Additional Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in maintenance, electrical, plumbing and/or HVAC required.
  • Basic knowledge of tools and customer service skills required.
  • Candidate must be computer literate and detail oriented with strong organization skills.
  • Must have the ability to interact effectively with prospects, residents, peers, and management.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • English proficiency.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Ability to work weekends.
