Position Profile: We are seeking a hardware engineer with experience in motion control. The ideal candidate will determine hardware requirements for controlling motion based on design criteria. He/She will be knowledgeable in analog and digital circuit design. He/She will perform schematic design and assist in layout. Resonsiblities include qualification and acceptance testing of prototypes. The hardware engineer will analyze and investigate design problems relating to the development of electrical, electronic subsystems.

Competencies: BSEE degree in electrical engineering, MSEE preferred

• Knowledge of servo controller design, servo mechanical modeling and simulation and sensor circuits is a plus.
  
• Knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
  
• Knowledge of power electronics is a plus.
  
• Experience in MATLAB or Mathcad is a plus.
  
• The individual must be able to work from oral and written instructions, be dependable, positive, assertive, a team player and have a strong desire to succeed.
  
• Must have great communications skills to expeditiously coordinate efforts through all phases of the manufacturing and engineering process while contributing in a high performance team environment to meet customer needs.
  
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends when required.

Special Requirements: Due to the nature of our work this position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
