Description:
Appropriate responsibilities:
- Receives general instructions for new responsibilities from supervisor.
- Administers a mid-sized site alone or assists in the administration of a larger site.
- Initiates some new responsibilities and helps to plan for the future of the site/network.
- Manages novice system administrators or operators. Evaluates and/or recommends purchases; has strong influence on purchasing process.
- Windows Administration support for new project deployment and infrastructure.
- Responsible for defining security frameworks for existing and new systems
- Ensures successful implementation and maintenance of the defined standards
- Ensures compliance of IT Security Policies
- Provides technical support and consultation for enhancement of and change to network security configuration
Required Skills:
- SharePoint 2007 and IIS 7.0 experience a must have, no exceptions
- Expert knowledge of SharePoint 2007 and IIS 6.0 & 7.0
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills
- Is comfortable with most aspects of Windows systems administration;
- A solid understanding of a Windows operating system; understands paging and swapping, inter-process communication, devices and device drivers.
- Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts, can use nslookup or dig to check information in the DNS, understands basic routing concepts.
- Strong background on the Microsoft Technology. Especially SharePoint 2007
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory.
- Understanding of Windows Cluster, Domain Controller, and Windows DNS.
- Good knowledge on Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell.
- Good knowledge of STSADM.
- Experience with Quest Tools for SQL Server, Quest Tools for SharePoint, Idera PowerShell Plus
Required background:
- Two to five years SharePoint Administration experience.
- Seven to ten years of Windows Server Administration experience.
Required
- A degree in computer science or a related field.
- Preferred Vendor: IDS.........1 year.
- Education Level: Undergraduate Degree.......5+ years.
