SSB is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated SharePoint technologist that possesses solid .NET and SharePoint skills and has at least at INTERIM SECRET clearance. The candidate will have the opportunity to establish the basic structure of a distributed SharePoint system and define the core SharePoint and system design features. The architect will provide the vision for where the system needs to go and strive to maintain system integrity during evolution. The ideal candidate will be motivated to advance their technical skills to meet the challenges presented by these platforms. In addition to possessing a solid technical foundation this person must be able to communicate effectively regarding solution ideas with clients and internal staff, and then assist in project development. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a solid foundation in SharePoint technologies, ranging from planning and architecting portal based solutions to development of web parts. Project related duties may include client interaction to define technical requirements, architecting solutions, solution testing, and on-going stakeholder support.

• Interfacing with the users, sponsors and stakeholders in order to determine their needs.
  
• Proposing the appropriate enterprise architecture for SharePoint based applications and services.
  
• Generating the highest level of system requirements, based on the user's needs and other constraints.
  
• Collaboratively develop a roadmap to implement the desired systems architecture, including lower-level architecture and design.
  
• Ensuring that this set of high level requirements is consistent, complete, correct, and operationally defined.
  
• Partitioning requirements for SharePoint functions into successive layers of subsystems and components.
  
• Design software subsystems and components to ensure that the final system satisfies the functional requirements, use cases and performance needs.
  
• Interfacing with the design and development personnel, so that any problems arising during design or implementation can be resolved in accordance with the fundamental architectural concepts, user needs and constraints.
  
• Build and lead the SharePoint Administration team and SharePoint Development team.
  
• Experience with management of SharePoint searching and indexing, cataloging, security and access control, custom lists, dynamic components and custom reporting.
