JOB SUMMARY:
This position is working directly for LCG Systems in support of an NIH client. The position will be part of a team designed for quick, efficient development of web and database applications using Microsoft Content Management Server, MOSS 2007, Microsoft development tools, and a Microsoft hosting environment. RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Design and develop 508 compliant ASP.NET 2.0 web sites and applications using .NET Framework.
· Deploy and configure ASP.NET web sites in IIS.
· Develop and execute Unit Tests
· Troubleshoot issues in Production Environment
· Create Requirement, Technical and User documentation
· Support and perform various operational tasks related to web sites and applications in Production and Test environments build on Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 and MOSS 2007
· Troubleshoot and debug existing application code
· Actively follow Quality Control and Change Management procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge Skills, Abilities and Experience:
· 2 – 4 years of experience in object oriented application development using Microsoft Visual Studio .Net development environment to develop web based intranet/extranet/internet types of applications.
· Extensive knowledge of Visual Studio .NET 2003 & 2005, ASP.NET 1.1 & 2.0, C#, Internet Information Server (IIS)
· Experience in full life cycle development with SharePoint Products & Technologies.
· Experience with MOSS 2007 Web Content Management features and workflows
· Experience in migrating CMS web sites to MOSS is a plus
· Experience in design, development, deployment and maintenance of Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 solutions or any other Web Content Management Systems is a plus
· Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Database 2000 & 2005 development using stored procedures, functions and general database design in standard query language (SQL) is also required. Any exposure to DBA experience is a plus.
· Strong knowledge of Windows architecture, deployment considerations, and structured development methodologies are preferred.
· Familiarity with application deployment process to Production environment
· Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and performs a variety of complicated tasks
· Demonstrated ability to employ industry best practices toward development process, documentation and SDLC.
· Experienced in creating n-tier architecture based applications, writing user controls, and web controls.
· Demonstrated knowledge of object-oriented design.
· Understanding of Section 508 compliance requirements and web formatted graphics is required.
· Must be a hands-on web application developer versed in web technologies and tools (including HTML, HTTP, JavaScript, CSS, browsers for Mac and PC) to create, design and develop web pages.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Source Safe a plus.
· Must work well as a member of a team as well as independently.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Once hired, the ability to obtain a public trust clearance is also required.
· National Institutes of Health experience a plus.
· Knowledge/experience of Web Site Analytics Software is a plus
· Must be able to think on your feet!
