Job Summary:
The Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) Architect will perform the lead technical role on enterprise class MOSS 2007 development and deployment projects. The Architect’s primary responsibilities are to:
• Consult with clients to define requirements and create system and architectural designs which meet the technical and business needs of our clients.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to developers, technical consultants, business analysts and other team members involved in delivering MOSS 2007 solutions to our clients.
Required
• Bachelor's degree; advanced degree a plus
• 5+ years prior relevant consulting experience or 10+ years prior work IT experience if not in consulting
Technical Skills
• Successfully led 3+ deployments of large Enterprise MOSS 2007 solutions.
• Comprehensive understanding of the MOSS 2007 platform including: Collaboration, Enterprise and Web Content Management, Business Process Automation through forms-based workflows, Business Intelligence, and Enterprise Search configuration
• 5+ years leveraging SharePoint functionality in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and support of large, complex, enterprise-level solutions
• 2+ years MOSS 2007 development experience including custom web part development, UI customization (Master Pages, CSS and Page layouts, custom workflow development (SharePoint Designer and Visual Studio) and deployment packaging via features and web solution packages
• Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence capabilities of SharePoint including SQL Server Reporting Services, Performance Point Server, Excel Services and the Business Data Catalog
• Experience implementing mixed Intranet, Extranet and Internet facing SharePoint solutions involving various security components including mixed authentication (Windows and FBA), ISA Server, firewall configuration and federation
• Knowledge of Virtualization technologies including VMWare and/or Hyper-V, Active Directory, Network Load Balancing, SQL Clustering and other infrastructure technologies required for enterprise MOSS 2007 environments
• Experience with organizational change management and development of governance as it relates to implementing MOSS 2007
• Knowledge of Best Practices for implementation, development, administration and use of MOSS 2007 in an enterprise environment
• Relevant Microsoft Training/Certifications preferred (MCTS, MCPD, MCITP)
