About the Job

POSITION OVERVIEW


Position may be
work in Round, Spiral, Fittings, or Tack departments and will be responsible
for the following but not limited to fabricating finished products from sheet
metals using hand and power tools to cut, shear, notch, and form material and
prefab fittings


 


KEY ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


 



  • Insulates
    and assembles product for delivery


  • Identifies
    and calculates amount of materials, thickness, size, etc., required for
    product


  • Completes
    usage forms and logs completed orders


  • Sets
    up and operates all machinery and hand tools needed to complete product


  • Forms
    all shapes and sizes of sheet metal as per drawings or work instructions


  • Changes
    dies and performs basic machine maintenance as required


  • Verifies
    dimensions of work piece


  • Other
    duties may be assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


High school
education or GED Required


 


LANGUAGE SKILLS


Ability to read and
interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and
correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or
employees of organization.


 


 


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS


Ability to
calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions,
proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply
concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Able to read a tape
measure up to a 16th of an inch.


 


REASONING ABILITY


Ability to apply
common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written,
oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete
variables in standardized situations. Ability to adhere to delegation of
authority and lead by instructions of management and supervision.

computer skills may be preferred or required.

Attendance is an
