Shift Lead - Computer Operations

The Hours for this position is 12AM-8:30AM HST
 
Summary:  Responsible for leading the day-to-day item processing activities for assigned shift according to shift requirements; operates item processing equipment and performs related tasks as required; Performs other related duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
·          Assists management with the coordination and direction of associates to ensure operational expectations are met.
·          Receives and prepares physical documents for delivery to the sorting department.
·          Performs online reject-repair using a CRT and physical documents.
·          Identifies cause of and correct out-of-balance transactions.
·          Researches and resolves adjustment entries.
·          Prepares cash letters.
·          Prepares reports and documents for delivery to the customer.
·          Verifies Inclearings and POD block totals created.
·          Extracts, balances and transmits files for posting.
·          Contacts customer to resolve work quality issues or processing problems.
·          Backs up the sorter, print, and statement rendition operations.
·          Provides workflow direction in the absence of a manager.
·          Occasionally monitors workflow to ensure that all work is received, processed and deadlines are met.
·          Provides routine statistical reporting on department SLAs, objectives, and goals.
·          Provides task/routine training on operational procedures.
·          Provides input to performance reviews.
·          Performs other related duties as assigned.

Complexity of Work:  Semi-routine; majority of work covered by established procedures.
Education:  High school diploma or GED.
Experience:1-3 years experience operating item processing equipment or performing balance and/or transit statement rendering activities, including 1-3 years experience as lead item processing clerk; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
·          Knowledge of the jobs of the employees to be lead
·          Knowledge of impact of own organization unit's work on other organizational units
·          Knowledge of procedures for processing bank transactions
·          Ability to schedule work for others
·          Ability to evaluate performance capabilities of subordinates
·          Ability to coach/counsel subordinates for development or corrective discipline

·          Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients and public
