Shift Operations Manager

CAREER OPPORTUNITY

The Shift Operations Manager is the acting operating manager on rotating, 12-hour night shifts. He/she is accountable for the operation and maintenance of the plant during his/her shift. The Shift Operations Manager reports to the Operations Manager at our beverage packaging facility outside of Auburn, AL.

HOW YOU WILL IMPACT MWV

As the Shift Operations Manager, you responsibilities will include:
  • Insuring safety processes are adhered to on shift, be role model and provide improvements within Safety, Quality and Productivity
  • Assuring accountability is modeled at the frontline supervisor’s position through inspections and audits
  • Assuring the process is fully optimized using, operating guides and operating procedures that are rigorously followed and updated
  • Assisting trouble shooting technical problems on shift
  • Supporting/reinforcing root cause failure analysis and corrective actions (systems and people)
  • Leading Yellow Belt Projects Operational Excellence (OPEX)

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Must have a 4 year degree and/or 7-10 years plant leadership experience
  • Candidate must have supervisory experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to clearly communicate at all levels of the organization
