Day to Day Responsibilities:
· Directly supervise all shift personnel responsible for the manufacturing of products related to the Life Sciences businesses to ensure that daily production quantity and quality standards are met.
· Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
· Counsel direct reports by providing formal and informal performance feedback.
· Maintain and enforce all safety regulations and housekeeping standards on a consistent basis.
· Recommend improvements to process and/or equipment that enhance the manufacturing performance of the department.
· Initiate and/or suggest opportunities to enhance the Plant’s compliance to the principles of a High Performance System.
· Interpret and enforce Plant and company policies and procedures on a consistent basis.
· Maintain the systems and actions necessary to ensure compliance with the Kennebunk quality system and ISO registration.
· Report machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
· Maintain payroll and production records.
· Ensure cooperation with Engineering in the implementation and evaluation of development experiments.
· Daily production support and technical assistance for immediate process and product problems.
· Identify and implement process improvements leading to process loss reduction, material utilization increases, process uptime improvements, and cycle time reductions.
· Use engineering principles, data analysis, and problem solving tools such Kepner – Tregoe, DMAIC, Design of Experiments, etc to solve problems, troubleshoot production issues, and drive continuous improvement
· Assist and lead in the identification and resolution of product quality issues.
· Maintain and develop process documentation.
· Ensure best practices are evaluated, communicated, and implemented in the areas of Process Control and Discipline, Experiment Planning, Statistical Analysis, and Corrective Actions.
· Communicate and document project progress and status.
Scope of Position:
· Supervise, coordinate, and coach employees engaged in production of WIP components or finished good product for the Life Sciences businesses at the Oneonta Plant. Responsibilities include shift performance towards production objectives and personnel adherence to plant procedures, policies, and documentation.
· Monitors daily operations of a unit and actively assists, or provides direction to, subordinates as required.
· Performs ongoing operational tasks of organizational units. Manages projects to improve overall efficiency

· Teamwork in manufacturing environments
· 2-3 years of experience preferred, but college grad is ok.
· A data-driven, logical and analytical individual who is detail-oriented
